First Red-Button sweepstakes campaign on German television
The Edeka group, Germany's largest supermarket corporation, initiated the first interactive Red-Button campaign on German television, with a competition as its centerpiece. The spots aired in June 2013 on Sat.1. Viewers were challenged to answer guesstimation with their remote control on a special HbbTV microsite created by Jung von Matt. Users were able to enter their personal data without any hassle, due to the synchronization of the running TV commercial with the second screen. Participating TV viewers received access to the competition by teveo's TV-ID service and had the chance to reward themselves by winning a vintage Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet.
